A student has raised a big amount of money for charity by having her head shaved.

Fifteen-year-old Amy Yapp had her hair shaved off by Keith the barber from Seacroft Road, Mablethorpe, in December during assembly at Monks’ Dyke Tennyson College.

Amy has raised £950 in sponsorship and a further £50 approximately in collections in Mablethorpe Social Club.

The money was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.

One in three people will get cancer and it’ is the toughest thing most of us will ever face.

Macmillan Cancer Support provide practical, medical and financial support and push for better cancer care.

Macmillan say four million people are expected to be living with or beyond cancer in 2030 – which means the need for their work is set to increase dramatically.
