Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home thanks public for support
Rehomings are up at the Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home and the volunteers thank the public for their support - but as winter sets in they need warm bedding for the animals.
The number of animals rehomed in October was higher than the previous month at the Ark in North Somercotes.
The monthly newsletter for the Ark said: “This month the rehoming figures have been higher than last which is great every animal deserves a warm bed especially in winter months.
“A rehome story that stands out is that of an older pair of cats Homer and Little Un it took a little longer as they were to be homed together but they are now very happy and settled in their new home.”
Rehoming figures for October were:
Cats in: 10. Cats out: 15.
Dogs in: 15. Dogs out: 19.
Rabbits in: 0. Rabbits out: 2.
Ferrets in: 0. Ferrets out: 1.
Canaries in: 1. Canaries out: 1.
Horses in: 1. Horses out: 0.
The newsletter said: “A big thank you to so many who support us.”
