Arrest warrant for Goulceby woman over ‘dangerous dog’

Magistrates at Skegness have ordered the arrest of a 63-year-old woman who has failed to attend court on allegations of allowing her doberman dog to be dangerously out of control.

The court was told that although Gale Chantry of Watery Lane, Goulceby, had been summoned to court on three previous occasions to answer the allegations, she had never attended.

It was said that on the last occasion a warrant for her arrest was issued and enforced and she was subsequently bailed to appear on November 9 but failed to do so.

Ms Chantry faces allegations that on May 14 at Louth she was in charge of a doberman which was dangerously out of control and injured Margaret Thomas and a dog named Amber.

The magistrates, who were told the dog had now been destroyed, issued a warrant for her arrest without bail.
