Barkwith and district annual show
GARDENERS are getting ready for the Barkwith and district annual evening show on Friday August 31.
Schedules are available at East Barkwith’s sub-post office and there are 26 classes for vegetables, flowers and floral art.
There are trophies to be won by the exhibitors gaining the most points in the fruit and vegetable section, the flower section and the floral art section, by the exhibitor of the best dahlia in the show and the best fuchsia in the show, with special prizes too for the heaviest marrow and the longest runner bean.
Take along entries between 7pm and 7.45pm, or go along to view the exhibits once judging is completed.
