Be a superhero for the day on skydive
Forget Spider Woman and Wonder Woman! Three Louth ladies are donning capes and masks to take part in a hair raising Superhero Skydive.
Emma Saunders, Samantha Jane Markham and Melanie Ritchie are getting ready to jump out of a plane at Hibaldstow airfield, near Brigg, for St Andrew’s Hospice.
The skydive takes place on Sunday May 19 and fundraisers are looking for more fearless volunteers who would like to undertake the highest skydive in the UK, experience the thrill of a lifetime and at the same time help to raise vital funds for the hospice.
The Superhero Skydive is a tandem jump which allows you to enjoy an adrenalin fuelled free fall harnessed to the front of a British Parachute Association qualified instructor. This means that you need only a short 20 minute briefing before you take to the skies and you have the security of knowing that it is the instructor who opens and lands the parachute so that you can relax and enjoy the thrill.
To take part people must pledge to raise a minimum of £400. The skydive is open to anyone over the age of 16 years and there is no upper age limit. There is also a maximum weight limit of 16 stones.
All participants must pay a £100 deposit on registration.
