Big Country

A charity rock concert has been described as ‘the biggest music event in Louth for over 50 years’.

The headline act is multi-million selling Scottish rock legends Big Country.

The concert is on Saturday April 26, 2014, and all the profits from this event are being donated to Alzheimer’s Society via Lincolnshire Co-operative’s charity of the year.

Big Country have had 15 Top 40 singles - including Fields Of Fire, In A Big Country, Wonderland and their biggest hit Look Away.

They have had five top ten albums - including the two million selling debut album The Crossing and the number one album Steeltown, which celebrates it’s 30th anniversary in 2014.

The band are Bruce Watson (guitars/vocals), Mark Brzezicki (drums, vocals), Jamie Watson (guitars/vocals) and former Simple Minds bassist/vocalist Derek Forbes.

Big Country was originally formed in 1981 by guitar playing founder members Stuart Adamson and Bruce Watson both native of the band’s hometown Dunfermline in Scotland.

Tickets are on sale now from Louth Town Hall on 01507 354336, while more info can be found at www.louthtownhall.co.uk
