Work will soon begin on the demolition of Louth Fire Station in Eastfield road with a new one to be built in its place.

Fire crews at the station have for years enjoyed a couple of games of snooker during their down time, but unfortunately there is no room to house their full-size snooker table when the new replacement building is finished.

So Nigel Shaw, watch manager at Louth Fire Station is trying to find a new home for the snooker table.

He said: “We have already had interest in the snooker table in regards to breaking it up.

“But we would really like to see it have a home where it will be appreciated.

“So we would like to offer our snooker table to possibly a charity or youth group that may have use for it.”

If you would like to have the snooker table, you can either pop into the fire station or call Nigel on 07836755506.
