People in the coastal resorts are being asked to be vigilant and report suspicious activity around caravan parks.
A number of caravans and adjacent storage sheds have been targeted in recent weeks in the Trusthorpe and Mablethorpe areas.
PC Paul French, from Mablethorpe Police Station, said: “We run awareness campaigns each Autumn to highlight the issue and encourage owners to remove all items of value from their caravans and this helps reduce their risk of becoming a victim of crime. However, although we are working closely with everyone in the caravan industry to improve security, incidents will inevitably still occur and we are encouraging anyone who see suspicious activity, people or vehicles to contact police straight away”.
Anyone with information should contact PC French by dialling 101 and quoting incident 399 of 22 January. Report crimes anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
