Chef Debbie Kenyon at Louth Food Festival

THERE will be more than 70 stalls at the Louth Food Festival on Sunday, July 15.

The festival will emphasise Louth’s importance as a centre for Lincolnshire’s finest sausages, breads and cakes, cheeses, vegetables, preserves, sauces and other produce.

Local shops will be open for the day, butcher Trevor Fairburn will serve up a hog roast, there will be arts and crafts traders, music and entertainment and cooking demonstrations by chef Debbie Kenyon, the nutrition and cooking expert whose wide experience includes working with Jamie Oliver and Rachel Green.

Patrick Neville, chairman of the Louth Town Partnership’s Food and Drink Group, said: “While our focus is on Louth and Lincolnshire, several traders will be selling their own international specialities including Italian breads, German sausages, olives and baklavas and Turkish delight.

“It all adds to Louth’s growing reputation as a good food town.”
