Christmas fun at latest North Thoresby WI meeting

Christmas crafts were made at the latest meeting of the North Thoresby and District WI.

The November meeting, Tuesday November 6, saw president Audrey Foster welcome 24 members to the meeting.

She thanked the hostesses Linda Dickinson, Chris Brabben and Sheila Housman and the roll call “My favourite film ….” was taken by Jenne Saunders.

In the business section of the meeting various items were picked out from the November issue of the WI News, details of the next Book Club meeting and future events were outlined.

The President then introduced in-house craft tutor Janet Draycott. As usual Janet had done a great deal of preparation and with her guidance and help members made gift boxes, teasel hedgehogs and paper Christmas trees made from a magazine.

Vote of thanks was given by Angela Hawkins.

The next meeting is on December 4 when their will be in-house entertainment, a special raffle and a faith supper. Visitors and new members will be very welcome.
