Coast to feature in national campaign

Mablethorpe alongside other areas in East Lindsey will feature in another national marketing campaign in partnership between the district council and national tourism agency, VisitEngland.

The campaign was launched on March 11, and focuses on English seaside experiences and encourages people to holiday in England.

Tourism plays an important part to the area, with it being worth £480m, employing over 7,000 people via hotels, attractions, holiday parks, restaurants and businesses.

Portfolio holder for the economy at the district council, Coun Craig Leyland said: “The English Seaside campaign highlights what our district has to offer to residents across the UK and further afield.

“We hope more people will holiday closer to home, benefitting the economy and supporting businesses and creating jobs.”

The campaign includes advertising for Mablethorpe through a supplement in the national press, which comes out on March 24, alongside air time on Classic FM and a dedicated page on VisitEngland’s website.
