Despite some navigational errors on the journey to and from Santa Caterina in Italy, including getting lost in Como (twice) and being stopped by the police in Belgium, Cordeaux Academy’s ski trip was a resounding success. Loads of snow and sunshine combined with excellent instruction allowed all students to make outstanding progress – the beginners were off the nursery slopes and up the mountain on the first day! Thankfully, the good conditions also contributed to very few injuries and only one hospital trip.
The highlight of the week was an invitation from the Head of the Ski School to take part in a torchlight descent back to the village.
They are the first English group to be invited to be part of this weekly celebration with the ski instructors and the students did not let themselves down whilst skiing in very different conditions.
The group were immensely proud and honoured to be involved in what was a great spectacle.
