STUDENTS at Cordeaux School were invited to enjoy a production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet followed by a drama workshop at the Riverhead Theatre recently.
Over 45 pupils attended the performance put on by national travelling theatre company Box Clever, who gave the play a contemporary twist to bring the production to life.
Roy Hobson, theatre manager and education co-ordinator at The Riverhead Theatre, said: “It is great to work in partnership with schools and we were pleased to welcome Cordeaux to the theatre. Box Clever were both delighted and appreciative of the interaction with the students.”
Student Becki Whitbread added: “It was a very entertaining adaptation of Romeo and Juliet using the idea of modern and old English.”
