Crews tackle the fire at the chip shop in Louth.

Fire crews have tackled a small blaze at a chip shop in Louth this afternoon (Wednesday).

The fire broke out around lunchtime and crews from Louth and North Somercotes were on the scene to put out a small fire in one of the chip fryers at Tony’s Plaice in Eastgate.

The fire engines had to block the road to get access to the chip shop, causing tailbacks for motorists trying to get through the narrow road.

Thankfully nobody was hurt.
