Distraction thieves steal cash from elderly woman in Mablethorpe
POLICE are on the hunt for two men after distraction thieves stole cash from an elderly lady in Mablethorpe.
The incident took place around 11am on Friday, June 22 in Waterloo Road.
Two men called at the home of the elderly lady claiming to be from the council and stating that they were carrying out sound proofing checks.
After gaining entry to the house they asked the woman to turn up her TV and remain in the living room, only later did she discover that the men had made off with a large amount of cash from the bedroom.
One of the men is described as being aged 30 to 40, of chubby build, and wearing dark, waterproof clothing.
There is no description of the other man.
