Duck race on River Bain at Biscathorpe Park
DUCKS sailing down the River Bain in Biscathorpe Park are always a special attraction each summer when the Donington on Bain Village Hall Committee hold their annual Duck Races and Barbecue which this year is to be on Saturday July 14.
It is the annual fundraising event which draws crowds from a wide area to enjoy the fun with ducks sailing down the Bain, the excitement of terrier racing and tasty food from the barbecue with pudding too, all available for their many visitors.
There are games and competitions to take part in and if it is a lovely warm summer evening the younger visitors can be kept happily occupied with paddling and water play.
There will be a licensed bar, a raffle and a tombola too.
All proceeds are for the maintenance of the village hall.
