Duo scoop £1,000 apiece for local charities

Two worthy causes have been boosted by just over £1,000 apiece thanks to Louth Cattle Market’s annual fatstock show which took place in December.

Keith Murfin of the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance and Alison Twiddy of the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network collected £1,101.50 each from Dan Jobe, of Mason’s Chartered Surveyors, at the market on Thursday.

Thursday’s cattle auction also marked the sad recent death of auctioneer Neil Bolton.
