East Barkwith ladies tuck into Myers plum bread
MARY Hoban presiding at the monthly meeting of East Barkwith Women’s Institute welcomed the members and presented birthday posies to Mary Jordan and Jean Best.
Rob Myers of Myers Bakery of Horncastle was the speaker and he gave a history of the well known firm which was established in 1902.
He included informative and amusing anecdotes and, to the delight of the members had taken along samples, in particular of their famous plum bread.
