Schedules are now available for the Barkwith and District Gardeners Association’s annual Spring Show which is to be held in the village hall on Saturday April 6 and it is open to members and those living within a seven mile radius of East Barkwith.

There are over 40 classes to choose from in the flowers, fruit and vegetables, produce, floral art, photography and handicraft sections and trophies will be awarded to the exhibitors who gain most points in the flowers, floral art and produce sections and for the best exhibits in handicrafts and photography.

Floral art enthusiasts are invited to exhibit an Easter Bonnet decorated with fresh flowers and foliage, a vertical line arrangement and a jug of spring flowers with foliage while the topics for photos are my garden at its best, one of my favourite plants and A Great Day Out.
