Businesses on the east coast are being asked to share their thoughts on plans for future grant-funded projects in their community.
Businesses can book their place at the Coastal Action Zone engagement event on Thursday June 5 at Rushmoor Country Park in North Cockerington, near Louth, between 3.30pm-5.30pm.
During the meeting, the priorities for future development in the area will be discussed and there will be chance to hear about projects from the last round of the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development LEADER fund.
Jo Finlow, Coastal Action Zone manager for Lincolnshire County Council said: “LEADER is a local, ‘bottom up’ approach to funding, which means getting people involved.
“We are consulting with businesses and the public on our plans to attract European funds so that we can make sure the plans fit the needs of rural communities.”
If the council is successful in its funding bid, cash will be available between 2015 and 2020 for investment in farming, forestry, rural tourism, rural services, and cultural and heritage activities.
Four applications will be made to cover rural parts of the county including the coastal strip of East Lindsey, the Lincolnshire Wolds and West Lindsey, Wash Fens and North and South Kesteven.
