East Lindsey District Council staff shortlisted for Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2012
Two people from the East Lindsey District Council Health Team have been shortlisted for the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2012.
Ross Cameron and Kara Belton have been shortlisted for the Contribution to Physical Activity Award at this year’s ceremony.
Over the past five years, they have delivered high quality exercise referral sessions to over 4,000 people with health conditions
Marc Rhodes, Events Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “The number of nominations this year was fantastic and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate someone for an award. We are delighted with the shortlist which truly represents some of the best sporting talent Lincolnshire has to offer.
“Ross and Kara are both very inspirational people and their nominations are a testament to the wonderful sportspeople we have in our county. I look forward to meeting them, and the other candidates, on the evening.”
The Lincolnshire Sports Awards is an annual event organised by Lincolnshire Sports Partnership to recognise sportsmen and women across the county in sport and physical activity.
The winners will be announced at the awards evening on Thursday November 8 at the Epic Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground.
