A 91-year-old woman has been taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a van in Louth this morning (Friday).

Police officers have been on the scene of the incident which took place at North Holme Court, in North Holme Road, just after 11am.

The woman, a pedestrian, suffered lacerations to her legs and has been taken to Louth County Hospital.

The driver of the van, a Mercedes, is a man aged in his 40s from Lincoln. He was unhurt.
