Community projects in East Lindsey have benefitted from £1,000s of district council funding from the Community Grants Scheme.

They include £8,000 towards building an extension at North Somercotes Village Hall incorporating a new meeting room, kitchen and disabled toilet.

Funding of £8,000 was given for improvements to the recreation ground facilities at Legbourne & Little Cawthorpe Community Centre, including extending the changing rooms and replacement of the cricket wicket.

Other projects include - £4,050 towards installation of children’s play equipment and an extended platform shelter at Ludborough Railway Station by Lincolnshire Wolds Railway Society; £3,690 to install a disabled toilet and complete repairs at Dogdyke Pumping Station & Preservation Trust; £2,798 to enable Grimoldby Cricket Club to buy their own mower; £1,862 to buy a secure storage container for props and costumes belonging to Louth Playgoers Society; £800 for Utterby Parish Council to commission a bespoke village sign celebrating local heritage.
