EYEWITNESS COMES FORWARD: 'I saw a UFO over Mablethorpe beach!'
Friday 2pm - A LOCAL man has come forward to say he saw a UFO over Mablethope beach.
The man was inspired to step forward by recent sightings of bright lights in the night sky in the area by Eric Goring from Brinkhill.
Mr S Kennedy of Great Carlton says he witnessed a weird phenomenon in the late 1950's.
He told us: "I was watching my dog running on the beach at Mablethorpe on a dark winter's night in the late 1950's when I noticed a very bright light on the horizon.
"As I watched it, it suddenly started to move towards the High Street Pullover. Its speed was unbelievable.
"It flew over my head and moved down the High Street where it suddenly stopped over a large tree near a building, which I rather remember was a caf at that time, near the corner of George Street.
"I could see it clearly, just hovering, completely still.
"I wasn't good at heights, so I couldn't estimate that or its size.
What I can recall is how it moved incredibly fast and made no sound whatsoever.
"I can't explain the lighting around the edge of the object, pulsating, moving, dancing, bright but soft edges, always moving.
"It suddenly reversed and flew back the way it had come, it did not turn round, just moved back on itself.
"It made no sound whatsoever, and I watched it disappear over the horizon in the time it took me to start breathing again.
"The next day, Humber Radio reported an unidentified object had been sighted off the Lincolnshire coast."
