This year’s Mablethorpe Illuminations event promises a day of fun activities and fantastic entertainment.

It will take place on Saturday July 26 on Mablethorpe’s Central Promenade and Beach.

From 10am there will be a vibrant open air craft market on the High Street with plenty of stalls to browse. For some hands-on fun, head to the beach to get involved in sand sculpting with Love Architecture.

Whatever you are doing, be sure to watch out for Rhubarb Theatre’s latest hilarious masked characters - the mischievous Bonny and Clyde, you never know what antics they will get up to.

The beach is the place to go for traditional Punch & Judy, a mini circus and a whole host of entertainment.

The fun will not stop as the sun starts to set. Ensure to get yourself a comfortable spot on Mablethorpe Promenade as from 7pm, the evening will come alive with music on the beach from local band Two Step and Lincolnshire’s premier band Stolen Fridays.

Sensational LED drumming group Spark will also wow the crowd with their dynamic choreography and beautiful lighting designs, and the evening will finish with a magnificent firework display.

East Lindsey District Council’s Portfolio Holder for Culture, Leisure and Tourism, Councillor Adam Grist, said: “This event is the latest in our portfolio of exciting free to attend community events and festivals.

“The day will offer something for the whole family from 10am till late.”

The event is being organised and funded by East Lindsey District Council in partnership with Mablethorpe Town Council and Mablethorpe Area Partnership Community Interest Company.
