The family of Mrs Jean Ann Francis Thomas have paid tribute to “the best Mother” and a “gorgeous wife.”
Mrs Thomas died following a three vehicle collision on the A1104 Saleby near Alford on Good Friday. Her husband, Alan, daughter and grandson were also in the Ford C-Max at the time of the collision.
This week, Mark Thomas, one of Mrs Thomas’ sons, said: “Obviously the horrific events of Good Friday are etched on our family forever, my Mom was the best Mother you could ask for. My Father is no longer critical, however he is heartbroken and was still very much in love with his gorgeous wife of 52 years.
“My Sister is still at Hull and critical, her son has been discharged. My two brothers have done a fantastic job holding us all together, but our loss is immeasurable. She was and still is the most beautiful person in our lives.”
The family thanked people for their kind words but ask that further tributes are not left on social media. They also thanked the emergency services for their lifesaving work.
