First responder Steve is praised after aiding an ill resident off duty

Sutton on Sea first responder Steve Palmer has been praised for his quick thinking and dedication after he went to the aid of a resident whilst off duty.

Sutton on Sea LIVES co-ordinator, Keith Auvache praised Steve for being a valued member of the group.

He commented: “Steve is a valuable LIVES member of our local group and at that particular time, he happened to be in the vicinity of someone who needed immediate help.

“He used all his skills and experience, in lieu of any equipment, to help stablise the patient, until the arrival of the first responder on duty who just so happened to be myself.

“He did a superb job of attending to and reassuring the patient, which undoubtedly assisted the wellbeing of that person.”
