The highly-anticipated ‘Got Talent?’ live final was held at the Riverhead Theatre in Louth on Saturday (August 16), where nine fantastic acts showed off their skills to a sell-out audience.

Once the audience vote had whittled down the nine acts to just two grand finalists, the four judges - singer Shawn, local businesswoman Pip, Louth Leader reporter James, and American ‘Mr Nasty’ Austin - had a tough time choosing the winner.

The judging panel was split on their decision, so the audience got another say about who should win the £100 prize - which ultimately went to Dylan Smith and his dog Chase for their impressive performance.

Dylan and Chase narrowly beat the other grand finalist, young dancer Millie Fisher, who also wowed the audience and judges with her energetic routine.

Other acts included Mark Willoughby’s stand-up comedy, singer Katie Coulthard, guitarist Mike Sellars, monologue performer Moya Rooke, singing duo Max & Beth, tap dancer Joseph Tobin, and teenage singer-dancer Conor Goldby.

After the interval, a special guest performance came from singer Nikki Pocklington, from Legbourne, who is fresh out of the UK tour of ‘Hairspray’.

The event was hailed a success by organiser Stuart Spendlow, who thanked all those who were involved.
