Future housing in Holton le Clay

Holton le Clay Parish Council has received from East Lindsey District Council a hard copy of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment, including details of the total estimated capacity for Holton le Clay and the total discounted capacity.

The Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) is part of the evidence to support the preparation of the East Lindsey District Council’s Plan.

It identifies the potential supply of land that could be made available for housing development in East Lindsey over the next 15 years.

This will allow the District Council to plan for a sufficient supply of land to meet the District’s overall housing needs until 2028.

The East Lindsey District Council has completed a report which explains the purpose of the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment, why the District Council need to carry it out and guidance on how the District Council would like the public to take part in the East Lindsey District consultation. Consultation runs until February 28 2013.

A copy of the pack with questionnaires, a plan and assessment of sites identified for consideration in Holton le Clay can be viewed in the Council Officesion Pinfold Lane.

Each site has been categorized as either having potential (not discounted) as a housing site or unsuitable (discounted).

Site proposed allocation - Not discounted: Total 869. Discounted: Total 61.

The Holton le Clay settlement is carrying out a Neighbourhood Plan based on the Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment.

Further details will be displayed at public meetings in January and February 2013.
