Adrian and Mary Wright of Louth celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary.

‘NEVER going to bed on a row’ is the key behind a Louth couple’s 60 years of happy marriage.

Mary and Adrian Wright, of Kenwick Road, were married at the old Free Methodist Chapel in Eastgate way back on October 9, 1952.

They met when Adrian was a keen motorcyclist, and Mary couldn’t refuse a ride on his bike!

Adrian, a retired farmer and Mary, a former dinner lady and full-time mum, are now both retired and enjoy gardening and lunches out.

They have four children, 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, who will all be celebrating this Saturday at My Father’s Moustache.

Mary said the secret of their 60 years of success is ‘never going to bed on an argument’ and learning to compromise.
