A report published this week has shown that Louth County Hospital met every standard checked by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) when it carried out an inspection in February.

The hospital met CQC standards for making sure patients understood their treatment, caring and welfare, working with other organisations, staffing, supporting staff, and dealing with complaints.

In particular, the report highlighted consistent praise from patients, the staff’s ability to explain treatment, a high standard of cleanliness, well maintained equipment, support for staff training and efficient record keeping.

Eiri Jones, the director of nursing for United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust, said: “We are delighted to have received such a positive report.

“It reflects the hard work of everyone at the site - we have been making many changes to the way we run our services and are proud of the commitment from staff to make it such a success.

“We are also continuing with the good work to ensure we continue to deliver services of a high standard.”
