Hull man airlifted to hospital after accident on B1225 at Baumber

Wednesday 4.50pm - A man was airlifted to hospital in Nottingham after suffering serious injuries in a three vehicle accident on the B1225 near Horncastle shortly after 9am on Wednesday morning.

The 26-year-old man, from Hull, was the driver of a Vauxhall Vectra car.

A child, who was a passenger in the same vehicle, was taken by ambulance to Lincoln County Hospital but was not thought to be seriously injured.

The two other vehicles involved were a Land Rover Discovery and a Ford Transit van.

Police have no reports of any other injuries.

The collision happened near to the junction of the B1225 and the A158 near Brickside Farm.

The road was closed as emergency vehicles attended the scene.
