It's official - A 24-hour Shell petrol station is coming to Louth.

EXCLUSIVE: A 24-hour Shell petrol station is confirmed for Louth alongside a Spar shop, Costa express and a Subway in news exclusive to the Louth Leader.

Blakemore Property Ltd who are currently building the £2.5 million venture on Louth’s Fairfield Industrial Estate also released a new image of how the project will look on completion.

Deputy Managing Director for Blakemore Retail, Stuart Adkin verified that the petrol station will be more accessible than the town’s two other forecourts, making it Louth’s biggest and talks about jobs, the proposed end date for the project and the facilities that will be available.

“This new purpose built petrol station will be a 24-hour facility and will have two HGV fast fill pumps (with the option to increase). AD Blue will also be available,” Stuart explained to The Leader.

“Plus the forecourt will house eight standard pumps, with all grades of petrol available at each pump, which includes unleaded, super unleaded, diesel and super diesel.”

Stuart added: “We are very pleased to have secured a supply deal with a company as recognisable and prestigious as Shell. As well as the forecourt and a Spar convenience store, there will be an in-store Food to Go offer as well a self serve Costa coffee unit and a full Subway operation.”

On talks of job possibilities and when the project may be completed, Stuart also said: “We will start advertising for jobs around three months out from opening, assuming the build stays on time, this should be late May, early June.

“Depending on the building schedule, we are hoping for the project to be completed by the end of August, early September time.”

Once the project is complete, there are also talk of expanding the site for other business ventures which will be reviewed at a later date.

Will you be using Louth’s newest petrol station and all its facilities once built?
