John Dale from Mablethorpe celebrates his 100th surrounded by his family

John Dale of Mablethorpe recently celebrated his 100th Birthday with a party to mark the occasion surrounded by family and friends.

John has lived in Mablethorpe for over 30 years.

He remarried at the age of 89 to Flora at St Mary’s Church in Mbalethorpe.

This was after both partners had lost their partners to cancer.

They have been married now for 11 and a half very happy years.

John Retired back to the resort being in the states for the last 20 years. Here emigrated to the US after the war.

Mr Dale is well known in the area for his architecture in the district, drawing up plans for people, and only gave it up at the age of 90.

During the war he was attached to bomber command in Air Craft Recovery, where a lot of his time was spent working around Manby Air field, and The Yorkshire Dales.
