Kathleen Stones from Alford celebrates her 100th birthday

Kathleen Mary Stones (nee Dixon) celebrated her 100th birthday last week surrounded by family and friends yesterday (Tuesday, October 29).

Kath lives in Alford and was born in nearby Tothill.

During her time working in Louth as a nanny she met and married Ted Stones from Theddlethorpe in July 1935.

Kath has worked in a variety of job roles during her life and the couple finally settled in Alford, but her husband sadly passed away in 2002.

Kath had five children, but her second child Denzil sadly passed away in June 2013.

She has an amazing 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great granchildren.
