King Edward VI Grammar School in Louth has raised a staggering £8,045 through a memorial concert, and the money has been presented to St Andrew’s Hospice.

The concert was held in March at St James’ Church in memory of the school’s popular musical director, Andrew Shaw, who died at his home in December 2011 from cancer. Andrew was well respected by his teachers and pupils and began teaching at the school in 1993.
