A popular boat pull that has gone on for the last 22 years took its final journey on Bank Holiday Monday as the event went from Ingoldmells to Mablethorpe for the last time, raising £953 for the Mablethorpe RNLI.

One of the main organisers of the event Barry Bisby said: “I would just like to thank the Mayor and Mayoress Tony and June Howard for turning out to support us, all of the ladies and gentleman that were part of this year’s final boat pull and a special mention to Sue, Val, Len and Geoff Pegg for their efforts. Plus I would like to thank all of the people in the villages we went through and the people in Mablethorpe who donated generously to our cause.”

The presentation of funds will be on October 18 at the Mermaid Inn in Mablethorpe.
