As part of their Caring and Sharing theme for 2013 Legbourne Woldmarsh Sunday Club members decided to forgo their usual Christmas gift from the club and agreed that, instead, the money should be used to provide a gift parcel of food for people attending the Salvation Army Christmas Day lunch.

After packing 35 parcels a small group of children went along to present these gifts to Salvation Army officer Bernard.

Afterwards they were treated to chocolate cake and squash and a tour of the building.

Earlier this year, after a Pet Service at All Saints Church Legbourne, organised by The Rev Lorraine Turner, the club made a donation to The Ark Animal Rescue and Retirement Home and followed this up by agreeing to sponsor a delightful dog named Bailey who is recovering from an operation for a slipped disc and now living with a foster mum.
