The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) is to attend the Lincolnshire Agricultural Machinery Manufacturers Association (LAMMA) show on January 22-23, to help farmers bring their businesses into the digital age.

The Agency will be promoting its increasingly popular service Single Payment Scheme (SPS) Online at the show, helping farmers, land owners and agents apply for vital European agricultural support payments which can be paper-free.

The service is being advertised as a easy, quick, digital way of applying for the payments. It removes the need to complete paper forms, increases security, decreases the chance of errors and gives an instant receipt of application for peace of mind.

There will be a manned stall at LAMMA, where a team of experts will be on hand to talk farmers through using the service and answer any questions they may have.

To use SPS Online for the first time, claimants need to register on the Government Gateway’s website, at www.gateway.gov.uk.
