Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue is recruiting

Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue is looking to recruit up to 10 new wholetime Firefighters to be assigned throughout the county.

The service will accept 500 full-time Firefighter applications with an additional 150 placed on a holding list. Application forms are at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/lfr.

Recruitment Manager Shona Wright said: “Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue is looking for committed people to help provide the best possible service to the community.

“Being a Firefighter is a demanding and challenging role. We’re looking for a combination practical ability, mental resilience, courage, physical fitness and the ability to remain calm and focused in difficult circumstances.”

Candidates will be assessed against the National Firefighter Selection Tests, which assess physical ability and fitness, working with numbers, situational awareness and problem solving. Personal qualities and attributes will also contribute to the selection process.
