Crime continues to drop in Lincolnshire is key message laid out by the county’s Police and Crime Commissioner Alan Hardwick in his annual report for 2013-2014.
The report highlights that Lincolnshire continues to be one of the safest places in the country and sets out the achievements over the year in reducing crime figures. These include a 16.5% decrease in burglary (from a dwelling), an 18% decrease in anti-social behaviour and a 6% decrease in violence against the person with injury. The levels of satisfaction in the police have increased since the previous reporting period.
The successes have been achieved within a context of increasing financial constraints for Lincolnshire Police, who provide the service at the lowest cost per head of population in the country.
