Louth’s slimmers are preparing to hold a ‘Slimming World does Race for Life’ event to raise money for Cancer Research UK, and are calling for local volunteers to take part and join them.
Members of the Meridian Leisure Centre and Trinity Centre Slimming World groups will be holding their own event at Hubbard’s Hills on Saturday July 26.
The group is welcoming anyone in Louth to join in, whether it’s taking part or supporting, and help them to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
Jane Rylands-Bolton, who runs the Louth sessions, said: “My groups have chosen to use the occasion to help members get started with gentle exercise, so whatever your fitness level you are welcome to participate.
“Hopefully the event will show people just how motivating being part of a group like ours can be.”
Local slimmer Anne Haslip said: “It’s a great reason to get out there and do something.
“I’m proud of our lovely friendly group.”
