A SPECIAL beer has been brewed in memory of a much-loved former member of the Louth and District Campaign For Real Ale who died in July.

Under the guidance of Fulstow Brewery, Louth and District CAMRA members have brewed a beer called Bentley’s Brew in memory of Jeff Bentley.

The brew was unveiled at the Gas Lamp on Monday morning, and will be on offer at the upcoming Louth Beer Festival in October.

Jeff was one of the founder members of Louth CAMRA, campaigning for real ale.

As well as bring active in helping to organise the Louth Beer Festival, he had a vast knowledge on beers and pubs in our area.

Nick Louth said: “Jeff was a founder member of Louth CAMRA and was a great enthusiast for real ale.

“He would have loved to have been here today and was always at the festivals. There will be plenty of Bentley’s Brew offer at the beer festival for everyone to try.”

Louth Beer Festival runs from Thursday, October 4 to Saturday, October 6 at the Town and Country Club in Cannon Street.
