Louth area sports stars count down to Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2012
Three people from the Louth area are looking forward to the Lincolnshire Sports Awards 2012 as they have been shortlisted.
Sam Brougham, a member of Louth Fencing Club, has been shortlisted for Sportsman of the Year, Rebecca Dunning, a pentathlete from Louth, has been shortlisted for Young Sportswoman of the Year, and Karen Hames, a coach and triathlete from Fotherby, has been shortlisted for Veteran Sportsperson of the Year.
Marc Rhodes, Events Officer at Lincolnshire Sports Partnership, said: “The number of nominations this year was fantastic and I’d like to thank everyone who took the time to nominate someone for an award. We are delighted with the shortlist which truly represents some of the best sporting talent Lincolnshire has to offer.
“Sam and Karen are both very inspirational people and their nominations are a testament to the wonderful sportspeople we have in our county. I look forward to meeting them, and the other candidates, on the evening.”
