A TALENTED Louth artist has been making waves through her portraits of inspirational people.

Two of Amy Lucas’s more renowned subjects, Lincolnshire bike racer Guy Martin and the Prodigy’s Keith Flint, have both seen her portraits of them in the flesh, and have been highly impressed.

This is thanks to Amy’s boyfriend Joel, who works at Cadwell Park, and has been giving her tip-offs of upcoming visitors to the circuit.

Guy and Keith were both more than happy to pose with and sign Amy’s portraits, which now hang proudly on her wall at home.

After beginning to draw portraits of pets and friends, her career has taken her to Le Fox Method Ink in Louth, where she has become a professional piercer and tattoo artist, as well as working with local artist James Gillick.

Former Monks’ Dyke pupil Amy, 19, explained: “I began drawing at a very young age, both my parents are artistically talented, but in year ten I really found a passion for the human face so I put my efforts into portraits.

“Soon a hobby turned into a way of life for me, so I set up a Facebook page to market myself, now I live and breathe the work I do.”
