Louth playhouse cinema is hosting a double charity film screening on the popular flick Sunshine On Leith on Monday, July 7.
The proceeds this year, 100 years since the outbreak of World War 1, will go to Louth and District British Legion.
Like Mamma Mia, but the club claims much better, Sunshine On Leith weaves a story through a series of hit songs, in this case about two soldiers returning home to Edinburgh from Afghanistan through the music of The Proclaimers, including the foot stomping I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and the ballad that gives the film its name.
There will be two screenings of the film, at 5pm and 7.30pm. Non-members are welcome, paying the normal Playhouse Cinema ticket prices.
Sunshine On Leith, Certificate PG, is Louth Film Club’s contribution to the Zero Degrees Festival.
