Louth Golf Club supports Friends of St James’s with £2,200 raised over a summer of games for men, seniors and ladies

THE Captains of Louth Golf Club, Paul and Anne Brackenbury, have presented Bill Wood, Chairman of the Friends of St James’s, with £2,200.

This was their joint chosen charity and the amount raised was mainly through three events held during the summer for the Mens’, Seniors’ and Ladies’ AM AMs.

Bill Wood was very appreciative of this cheque and of the local people of Louth, he explained that fundraising was crucial as the upkeep of the 15th century church, an icon of the town, costs £2,000 a week to maintain and that over the last 20 years £250,000 had been spent on various projects.
