Louth Textile Group has raised £140 for Louth Hospice after selling off sewing material and fabric to members in exchange for donations.

The group’s chairman Vanessa Drewery and treasurer Judy Purves handed over the generous donation to the hospice, which is based near the Fairfield Roundabout in Grimsby Road, on Thursday March 20.

Caroline Swindin, community fundraiser for St Barnabas Hospice which manages the site, said: “We thank the Louth Textile Group for this money, which will be used to support patients and provide patient care to people in the East Lindsey area.”

The textile group currently has around 30 members and meets in the Conoco Phillips Room, Louth Library, from 7pm on the first Friday of each month. Email judypurves@hotmail.co.uk for more information.
