The New Orleans (Louth) Jazz Club is flying high once again.
Membership had declined but things have changed in the last three months. Incoming Chairman Pete Hayselden, known on the folk and sea shanty circuit as Shanty Jack has great ideas for the club and these are starting to bear fruit.
Fred Everett’s Queen Street Band is resident on Saturday nights.
Word has got around of the revitalized club’s success and membership has doubled in the past three months, now standing at 85.
You will find them in Queen Street, Louth. Membership is £6 for a full 12 months and bar prices are still some of the lowest in Louth.
They have a good selection of bottled ales and cans of lager, cider and Guinness, as well as soft drinks.
