Leader Editor Charles Ladbrook is leaving for pastures new this week after over 10 years in the role.

Charles became Editor in 2003 and during that time the Louth area has seen some big changes.

Charles said: “I have enjoyed my time at the Leader enormously.

“One of the things that has always struck me about this area is the tremendous community spirit and good will.

“There are so many people doing things for the good of others in their own time and asking for nothing in return.

“These are the people who make the local community so special.

“Some things may change in Louth in the future but, God willing, this never will.

“I thank all these people and all our readers and advertisers who continue to support the Leader.

“Please follow @LouthLeaderNews on Twitter and visit our website www.louthleader.co.uk for local breaking news and of course continue to buy the paper every week for in depth stories and views.”

• Pop in to the office at 44 Eastgate today to say goodbye and best wishes to Charles.
